"My journey began during my time as a medical student at the American University of Beirut (AUB), where I was driven by a deep passion to provide humanitarian medical care to as many patients as possible. Al Hayat Hospital became the realization of that vision."
Established in 1967 in Chiah, Beirut, Al Hayat Hospital initially operated as a 30-bed maternity facility. Recognizing the urgent healthcare needs of the community, it transitioned into a general hospital in 1968, serving as the region’s only medical institution until 1977, when other hospitals began to emerge after the civil war.
Following the war’s end in 1990, Al Hayat Hospital embarked on a path of rapid growth, expanding its infrastructure and medical services. This period saw the introduction of an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a Coronary Care Unit (CCU), and a state-of-the-art Fertility Center offering IVF and ICSI. As the hospital became a trusted center for maternal care, the increasing number of premature births and twin deliveries necessitated the development of a well-equipped Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
In 2001, Al Hayat Hospital expanded further with the introduction of interventional cardiology services, including coronary angiography, balloon stenting, and angioplasty. Simultaneously, a dialysis center was established. Over the years, the hospital has continued to evolve, integrating advanced surgical techniques and interventional radiology procedures to better serve our patients.
